Imran Khan is soon be transferred to Adiala jail, and PTI wants him to have access to A-Class facilities.
ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) on Monday petitioned the Islamabad High Court (IHC) to transfer PTI Chairman Imran Khan from Attock Jail to Adiala Jail and added that given his "education, habits, and social and political status", he ought to be granted better or A-class facilities in jail.
The petition stated, "Since childhood, the petitioner is from a wealthy family and later due to his education, habits, and social and political status in the society, has got accustomed to a better mode of life. He is a graduate of Oxford University, UK, and the... captain of Pakistan national Cricket.

According to Rule 243 read with Rule 248 of the Pakistan Prison Rules, the petitioner was entitled to A-Class amenities taking into account his social and political standing, education, and habit of leading a better lifestyle.
Khan was detained on August 5 after being found guilty of corrupt actions in connection with the state gift depository by a district and sessions court in the nation's capital, but he vigorously contests the charges.
In his ruling, Judge Humayun Dilawar stated that the allegations of misdeclaration of assets against the PTI chairman had been "proven." Khan was sentenced to three years in prison and was also ordered to pay a Rs. 100,000 fine. An arrest warrant was also issued for Khan, calling for his immediate arrest.

The appeal asked that Khan's detention in Attock jail be deemed "illegal" and that he be transferred to Adiala in the "interest of justice." It also asked that Khan be let to visit his family, doctor, and political allies.
According to sources, the PTI chairman has been assigned a medical team that will examine him in two shifts.
They claimed that Khan had been moved from Class C to Barrack No. 2, but that the PTI chairman will actually be moved to Class B in accordance with Punjab Home Department guidelines.
