Russian crude oil imports from Pakistan are halted.
KARACHI: The News on Sunday cited sources in the energy industry to say that Pakistan has halted the purchase of crude oil from Russia because the refining process produced more furnace oil than gasoline.
In addition, the sources indicated that Pakistan Refinery had turned down more Russian oil because it produced 20% more furnace oil and less gasoline than Arabian crude oil.
A higher export of furnace oil at a lower price offset the benefits of importing Russian crude oil, they continued.
